The Civica TranSend ePOD mobile application enables the complete management of the delivery process for products and services including elements such as vehicle checks, vehicle defect recording, safety and compliance messages which must be acknowledged, vehicle load validation, presenting customer/stop information (including customer and order specific special instructions), managing the deliveries and collections and services at each location, displaying product information (including ‘inners’ and ‘outers’), handling exceptions at the point of delivery/collection, collecting additional photographic evidence, signatures, scanned customer own paperwork and driver notes, along with optional customer questionnaire prompts.



Navigation to the destination point is provided on a Stop by Stop basis with inbuilt truck based satellite navigation utilising the Vehicle and optional Trailer known dimensions and weight, therefore adhering to the correct road restrictions to the desired end destination point. These navigation instructions are provided both on screen and audibly and take into account real time traffic congestion.



In addition the application provides the ability of scanning barcodes associated to the Outer and/or Inner product details as well as raising exceptions either on the Outer and/or Inners within. Exceptions raised by the PDA user can enforce free text notes and mandatory photographs.



The application provides real time updates to the TranSend Back Office enabling full visibility of the drivers progress and location through the Route, enabling operators to proactively manage any customer issues that may arise, plus provides integration to upstream systems.



The TranSend Back Office suite provides numerous enquiries and dashboards and KPI’s visually highlighting Route compliance against Route plan down to individual Stop ETA’s vs Planned Arrive and Depart Times. End point customers can be provided with automated SMS and email notifications prior to arrival and automatic electronic POD documentation on completion of the Stop. A Consumer Tracker Portal is also available, enabling end point customers to visually see on a map where the expected delivery is currently located, the number of prior Stops to be performed and the current ETA.
